About 6 million children in the U.S. have a condition known as attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). The condition makes it hard for people to concentrate. Now, kids with ADHD have a new treatment option: a video game called EndeavorRx!

Over seven years, researchers studied whether EndeavorRx improves attention in more than 600 children with ADHD. In one recent study, children played the game five days a week for a month. Then they took tests to measure their attention. The researchers found that about 30 percent of players were better able to focus. Half of parents also noticed improvement in their kids.

Developers designed the game so that it trains the brain to multitask. EndeavorRx is the first-ever video game approved in the U.S. as a medical treatment. It’s another tool—along with medicine and therapy—that doctors can use to treat kids with ADHD.
