Every year, more than a million people visit the seven Atlantic bottlenose dolphins that live at the National Aquarium in Baltimore, Maryland. The aquarium recently announced that the dolphins will be moving to a more spacious home in 2020.

Dolphins are intelligent animals and swim up to 160 kilometers (100 miles) a day in the wild. Scientists say the animals can get bored in small spaces like tanks. That’s why the aquarium is building them a sanctuary, a large enclosed area in the ocean with more room to swim and play.

Officials are considering locations in Florida and the Caribbean. After the move, aquarium visitors will see live video of the dolphins in their new home.
